The Idaho Department of Labor hosts an all-industry hiring event on September 28th.

Idaho has an overall score of 17th in a study of the hardest working states. But Idaho ranks higher than other states in several key areas.

So many things can happen in 20 years. Idaho has a 75% increase in college enrollment. The Gem State managed to keep the cost of higher learning low, ranking 3rd in the lowest rise in room and board, fees, and tuition.

People who make a career of these jobs stay in them because they want to, not because it is cool. There is a common theme of jobs that aren’t worth it unless you mean it.

Yellow was also unique among the big carriers.

Traditionally, time off was calculated in vacation, sick, personal, and other categories regulated by the company. This policy has morphed into a Paid Time Off (PTO) structure.

In the job market as in many other things in life, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are some warning signs that a job posting may not be as good as it seems.
