This question was brought up today at work - What is the longest you have gone without showering? I will admit that I have recently gone 5 days without a shower.

Birthdays are awesome! We have parties and cake withe ice cream and singing - then we open presents. Birthdays are like the perfect day...unless you have a job. Going to work can be such a birthday buzz-kill. So why don't employers give their employees their birthday off?

Once upon a time a long time ago you followed the career choice that your father made. Granted we have evolved quite a bit since people lived in castles and rode horses through the forest while wearing shiny armor...but I would have guesses this number to be higher. Daily Mail reports that only 7% of kids are picking the same career as their parents.

I honestly don't fully understand why this is not something already in effect across the United States. There has been a pretty big debate in our government lately about whether welfare recipients should be required to take a drug test before receiving benefits. All parents have had days where they were tired but had to go shopping and the baby finally falls asleep just as they get to the store. This bad mom decided to let her baby stay asleep in the car while she shopped. So she left a note with her phone number on the baby assuming that if there were a problem some good Samaritan would call her.

Spring has sprung...and so have the winter messes! My wife is really good at not being able to stay still, so all winter long she cleans the inside of the house. When it gets warm outside my family is always ready to go outside to clean up the yard and get it ready for summer fun.

The night is finally here! I have been looking forward to this like high school prom...and I was really excited for that :) The Polyester Party takes off tonight at 7 at the Red Lion in Twin. They say "disco will never die" and I agree! There aren't many fads in our history that are worth visiting over and over again. When was the last time you got a raise at your job (assuming you have ever had a raise)? I'm also assuming that you don't make $400,000 a year...so this may seem like a silly question to ask considering the situation our country is in, but do you think The President needs or deserves a raise?

We are inching closer to the shopping extravaganza known as Black Friday, the day on which stores around the nation offer door-busting prices so low that otherwise-rational consumers take temporary leave of their senses, shake off their tryptophan haze and rush to the nearest mall at ungodly hours of the night. Or maybe not.

Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away and Christmas is coming too! One of my favorite foods during the holidays is egg nog. I know that there are plenty of people out there who think "nog" is a vile drink. That is fine by me because it means more for me to stockpile or put in the freezer for the Spring.
