What States Are Affected by the Energy Drink Recall? UT, ID, WA?

This could be the strangest food recall of 2025. An energy drink has been recalled because the energy drink cans were accidentally filled with alcohol instead of caffeinated beverage.

Or, depending on how you read the recall announcement, the alcohol cans were filled with the correct beverage, but the cans were mislabeled as an energy drink. Either way, you don’t want your kids drinking it, and it’s definitely not a drink for consuming while driving.

Beverage Recalled After Cans Were Filled with Vodka Instead of Energy Drink

This might also be the first food recall in history where some people are sad that they didn’t get the affected product. I can only imagine a group of teens realizing that their blue raspberry energy drink is going to give them a different kind of buzz or the receptionist at some company is finally having a great day at work because she’s drunk instead of on a caffeine high.

All jokes aside, though, anyone who purchased the recalled drink could accidentally drink alcohol.

What States Are Affected by the Energy Drink Recall? UT, ID, or WA?

The drink that has been recalled is specific to two production lots that were shipped from distributors in FL, MI, NY, OH, OK, SC, VA, and WI. The product was then only shipped to retailers in 6 states: FL, NY, OH, SC, VA, and WI.

So, unless you traveled or someone brought the product on a visit to your house, none of the recalled drinks were sold in the Pacific Northwest states.

The recall is a little confusing as it deals with a product that is labeled as a different product. The picture below shows which products and lot codes to look for.

The recalled 12-ounce cans are mislabeled as CELSIUS ASTRO VIBE Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, but could be filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol. These drinks came exclusively in the High Noon Beach Variety pack, but the recall warns consumers to check purchased cans of CELSIUS ASTRO VIBE Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition for lot codes that match those in the High Noon Beach Variety pack.
