Chad vs. The Stairs = Broken Leg For Chad

Welcome back from the (hopefully) long Labor Day weekend! The weekend was very eventful in The Bird house...my parents showed up, Kat's parents showed up,  and a bunch of cousins came to visit! The highlight...or at least the most memorable part was when Chad got caught up in a stampeding herd of kids and fell down a few stairs and broke his leg! He has a spiral fractured femur and had to get a half body cast!

I have never broke a bone and neither has my wife, so we are a little unprepared for this having no knowledge of dealing with casts...but I hear they are horrible. Plus he is newly potty trained, so hopefully this doesn't mess that up!

We ended up buying him a new wagon to pull him around in and a car creeper (the low profile plastic sheet on wheel to get under cars for auto work) for when he gets  a little more mobile to move himself around.

He is loving all the attention and the cast signing has been fun :)
