CSI Rodeo Team Wraps Up a Strong Start to The Fall Season
The CSI rodeo team recently wrapped up their fall season. They did phenomenally well as they traveled all around Idaho, Utah, and Colorado competing in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Look At How Well the CSI Rodeo Team Has Done This Fall
Keeping up with their tradition of success, the CSI Rodeo team continues to dominate. The men’s team is second in the standings with 2850 points, sitting right behind Utah Valley University. The women’s team is also sitting second totaling 1370 points hot on the tail of Idaho State University.
All but one of the top 7 Bareback riders are, again, part of the CSI Men’s team. Darien Johnson leads the pack closely followed by Brent Applegarth, Sage Allen, Wes Shaw, Tyson Hirschi, and Coy Montgomery.
CSI Cowboys Go Head To Head
Wyatt Lloyd and Wes Shaw are friendly rivals in the men’s all-around race both tied for 3rd place. Dani Clark leads the women’s all-around race after establishing herself as a powerful contender all fall. Three of the top 5 contenders in the Saddle Bronc riding are some of CSI’s finest: Wyatt Lloyd, Hank Whitaker, and Josh Dobbins.
The boys are holding their own in the Tie Down roping with Aaron Champneys sitting in the top 5. Dane Haas sits number 3 in the steer wrestling with Braedyn White, Wyatt Lloyd, and Wes Shaw placing in the top 10. CSI cowgirl Shelby Higgins sweeps the competition in barrel racing sitting 3rd in the region. Dani Clark and Katie Ayres are comfortably placing in the top 10.
CSI Sophomore Raegan Steed has held the number one position in the breakaway all fall long, proving that consistency is the name of the game. Not far behind her are Dani Clark and Charlie Swan.
Katie Ayres stands bold as the only CSI athlete in the top 15 of the goat tying. Tyson Hirschi went full beast mode covering his bull at the last rodeo of this fall season. Hirschi was the first and only qualified ride so far, shooting him into the number one spot.
