English spoken as a primary language in Idaho shouldn’t be a surprise as more than 80 percent of the population is White (non-Hispanic). Only 10.7 percent of households in Idaho reported a language other than English as their primary language. More than 13 percent of people in Idaho are Hispanic, making Spanish the second most spoken language in the state.
