
7 People Injured, 1 Killed in 4 Idaho Accidents Over the Weekend
Easter weekend in Idaho brought beautiful weather and additional dangers to travelers.
The Idaho State Police reported 4 accidents on Saturday and Sunday on Idaho highways. The accidents resulted in 1 death and more than half a dozen injuries.
7 People Injured, 1 Killed in 4 Idaho Accidents Over the Weekend
Among the 4 accidents was a deadly crash in Southern Idaho near Jerome, where a 72-year-old driver was killed in a head-on collision. 2 of the accidents involved motorcycle riders with passengers, all of which required transport to local hospitals.

The accidents were scattered around Idaho, including Post Falls, Boise, Pocatello, and Jerome.
4 Injured in Motorcycle Accidents Over Easter Weekend in Idaho
The 2 motorcycle accidents reported by the Idaho State Police happened in Post Falls, where both occupants of the bike had serious injuries, and in Boise, where both occupants were taken to local hospitals.
Washington Woman Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Idaho
A male from Boise and a female from Washington were injured in a motorcycle accident around 6:15PM on April 20th in Ada County. The ISP report states:
A 52-year-old male from Boise and a 46-year-old female from Renton, Washington, were traveling northbound on SH21 on a 2009 Kawasaki ZG1400 motorcycle. The motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and struck the concrete barrier on the right-hand shoulder.
The accident happened on State Highway 21 at mile marker 16. The driver and the passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Adult and Juvenile Seriously Injured in Idaho Motorcycle Crash
The accident in Post Falls happened on April 20th at 5:50PM at North Spokane Street and Encanto Drive:
A gray 2024 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited motorcycle was traveling southbound on Spokane Street when it lost control and struck two parked vehicles.
The motorcycle was occupied by a 31-year-old male from Post Falls, ID, and a juvenile.
Neither of the bike riders was wearing a helmet when the bike crashed. The driver sustained critical injuries, and the juvenile passenger was transported with serious injuries.
On Saturday, Idaho State Police responded to a crash involving 3 vehicles. All 4 occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts and didn’t require transport or medical attention.

The Idaho State Police was in the process of clearing a traffic hazard when traffic came to a standstill.
A 2009 Peterbuilt semi-truck, driven by a 48-year-old male from Montana, was traveling northbound when he collided into a grey 2015 Ford Explorer that was stopped with traffic.
The Ford Explorer, driven by a 35-year-old female, and occupied by a juvenile, both from Pocatello, ID, then collided into a black 2019 Honda Accord that was driven by a 30-year-old male from Chubbuck, ID.
The deadly accident reported by Idaho State Police happened in Jerome when a vehicle failed to maintain its lane and crashed head-on into another vehicle.
Jerome Man Dead After 2 Car Collision Easter Sunday in Idaho
The crash happened on Easter Sunday, April 20th, a little before 8:30PM on West Road near the N 500 W intersection.
The accident is being investigated, but as of now, ISP believe the following led to the crash:
A 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by a 29-year-old male from Jerome, Idaho, was traveling westbound on West Road.
A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 72-year-old male from Jerome, Idaho, with a 20-year-old male passenger from Griffith, Indiana, and a 70-year-old male passenger from Jerome, Idaho, was traveling eastbound on West Road.
The Pontiac failed to maintain its lane, crossing over the center line and colliding head-on with the Chevrolet.
The driver of the car was wearing a seatbelt, and none of the occupants of the SUV wore theirs. The driver of the SUV was killed in the crash, and all others involved in the accident were taken to local hospitals.
Each of the accidents is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
