Over the last week, the Idaho State Police have reported six serious accidents they responded to on Idaho roads. There were 14 vehicles involved in the accidents, and four of them were fatal, killing six people.

Three of the people killed were motorcyclists riding together through the mountains of Central Idaho, and two others were pickup truck drivers whose vehicle rolled. Updates on each fatal accident are shared below.

4 Fatal Accidents Claimed 6 Idaho Lives This Week

The accidents happened over the last week, on June 15th near Pocatello, June 16th near Worley, June 16th near Kooskia, and June 19th near Deary. The four fatal accidents are recapped by date here.

JUNE 15, 2026 9:51 PM: The accident happened on Mink Road and Wright Lane, south of Pocatello in Power County.

  • A 2017 Genesis G80, driven by a 72-year-old male from Arimo, Idaho, was driving southbound on Mink Creek Rd when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle.

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and passed away at the scene of the crash.

JUNE 16, 2026 4:00 PM: The accident happened on US Highway 12 near mile marker 113, near Kooskia in Central Idaho.

  • A 2019 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 12 when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone.
  • The pickup crossed the double yellow centerline and collided with three motorcycles traveling eastbound.

All three motorcycle drivers passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital for examination, released, and then arrested on probable cause for three counts of vehicular manslaughter.

JUNE 16, 2026 4:30 PM: The accident happened on US95 near mile marker 405, in Kootenai County near Worley.

  • A gray 1991 Toyota truck, driven by a 48-year-old male from Coeur d’Alene, ID, was traveling southbound on US95 at approximately mile post 405 when it left the roadway and rolled onto its roof.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt and passed away at the scene of the crash.

JUNE 19, 2026 4:44 AM: The accident happened on State Highway 8 near mile marker 27 in Latah County, near Deary.

  • An 86-year-old male, from Deary, Idaho, was driving a white Dodge Ram pickup eastbound on SH8 when the vehicle crossed left of center and traveled off the westbound side of the roadway.
  • The vehicle struck a driveway entrance, became airborne, collided with a tree, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its roof down an embankment.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt and passed away at the scene of the crash.

Since the beginning of the 100 Deadliest Days in Idaho, the Idaho State Police have reported 15 fatal accidents, with 18 dead, on Idaho highways.

Idaho roads can be dangerous for all types of vehicles, with an extra risk for motorcycle riders. In 2024, these are all the fatal motorcycle accidents the ISP reported.
