Where They Happened: 7 Deadly Semi-Truck Accidents in Idaho Over the 100 Deadliest Days

The 100 Deadliest Days of Summer in Idaho counts the days between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and officially ended last week.

During that timeframe, the Idaho State Police shared news release reports for 52 fatal accidents that claimed the lives of 57 people. There were more fatal and injury accidents across the state that weren’t shared on the ISP news release page.

Eight People Were Killed in Semi-Truck-Related Accidents Over the 100 Deadliest Days in Idaho

Of the fatal accidents that were reported in Idaho State Police news releases, 7 of them involved semi-trucks. In those accidents, 8 people were killed. There were more accidents that didn't result in fatalities that aren't included in this list.

While any number of fatalities is a tragedy, the number is on track to be lower than two years ago. In 2024, we received 24 fatal accidents involving semi-trucks.
