Police across the state of Idaho are increasing their focus on safe driving during the summer months. The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media that they would be increasing patrols, along with other law enforcement agencies across the state, looking for drivers who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This is a high visibility campaign by law enforcement hoping that more police out will deter unsafe driving in the final weeks of summer and into Labor Day. This summer there have already been more than 70 deaths on Idaho roads.
