Today is National Pet Day, and if you have a pet you have probably had an opportunity to share a picture of it on social media today. Let’s be honest, if you have a pet you probably share more pictures of it than you do of your children.

For the pet celebration holiday, we found a story that dove into which puppies are the favorite in each state. For Idaho, the breed makes sense and is definitely adorable.

Border Collies were named as the most popular breed of puppy in Idaho. The choice makes sense because they are super cute and they grow up to be great dogs for farm work. The American Kennel Club says the dogs are affectionate, smart, and energetic.

Adoptable Pets At The Twin Falls Animal Shelter

If you didn’t get to celebrate National Pet Day because you don’t currently have a pet - but wish you did - you can check out the Twin Falls Animal Shelter in person or on Facebook to see their variety of adoptable pets. They have cats and dogs, but there’s a rabbit there currently looking for a loving home too.
