
Sentences Revealed For 10 People Indicted on Federal Drug Violations in Idaho
Toward the end of 2024, during a press conference in Southern Idaho, the results of a joint operation between local, state, and federal law enforcement revealed the names of ten people who had been indicted on drug charges for possession and distribution of methamphetamine in the Magic Valley.
The prison sentences for all ten individuals have now been announced. The charges for each individual have also been modified from the initial indictment, though all but one of them will be required to serve jail time. Two of them will be deported to Mexico after serving time in federal prison.
10 From Twin Falls, Jerome, and Shoshone Sentenced in Idaho on Federal Drug Violations
The jail sentence for Oscar Alejandro Perez-Gomez was announced today, April 7th, 2026. The jail sentences and crimes for each of the ten convicts are listed below:
- Oscar Alejandro Perez-Gomez, 33, of Jerome: Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on April 7, 2026, to 292 months in federal prison plus 5 years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
- Patrick Delacruz, 41, of Jerome: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on June 5, 2025, to 33 months in federal prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.
- Leonardo Espinoza-Romero, 33, of Jerome: Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on May 14, 2025, to 120 months in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
- Daniel D. Thomas, 49, of Jerome: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine. Sentenced on June 17, 2025, to 110 months in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
- Artemio Morgan Hurtado, Jr., 35, of Shoshone: Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on April 24, 2025, to 51 months in federal prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.
- Luis Enrique Gonzalez, 41, of Jerome: Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on October 16, 2025, to 156 months in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
- Jesus Arturo Torres-Herrera, 37, a Mexican National in Twin Falls: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on January 14, 2026, to 87 months in federal prison followed by 3 years of supervised release. He will be deported to Mexico after serving his jail time.
- Raquel May, 29, of Twin Falls: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Sentenced on June 17, 2025, to 3 years of probation.
- Robert Troglia, 54, of Jerome: Distribution of methamphetamine. Sentenced on May 15, 2025, to 48 months in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
- Liliana Morales-Caliz, 36, a Mexican National in Jerome: Distribution of methamphetamine. Sentenced on December 17, 2025, to 63 months in federal prison. She will be deported to Mexico upon her release from jail.
Over the course of the investigation, more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine were seized by local, federal, and state law enforcement.
Convicted Drug Dealers in Idaho Got Meth From California and Arizona
The report states that several of the individuals traveled to California and Arizona to obtain and transport drugs back to Idaho. During the investigation, there were nine other people who were prosecuted in Idaho for drug trafficking and possession crimes.
