Flooding Is Still A Real Issue In Idaho
If it hasn't already happened, then it will soon. We'll all be toasty hot and the flooding and severe snow we had just a few weeks ago will be a distant memory. For most of us.
To be honest, until this last weekend, I'd assumed the bad was passed and all of Idaho was drying out. Nope. I went to visit my sister in Arco and the drive there is a definite reality check of how much water is still out there. The majority of the fields are still flooded along the road once you pass Shoshone and there are small rivers running along the highway with the occasional 'Water On Road' warning sign.
For the first time in the 10 years I've lived here and been making that drive, there was water flowing in the Big Lost River near Arco!
