Suspect Charged With The Murder Of 4 People In Kellogg

On Sunday night, June 18th, the Idaho State Police released information that at about 7:20 PM, the Shoshone County Dispatch received a call that multiple people had been killed inside a home in Kellogg, ID. When law enforcement arrived they found 4 deceased individuals and detained a 31-year-old male who they believed was connected to the deaths.

Police in Kellogg requested the assistance of the Idaho State Police in the investigation.

Detectives have been investigating the deaths since Sunday evening, which happened in the 500 block of West Brown Ave in Kellogg. Law enforcement detained 31-year-old Marjoran A. Kaylor, a neighbor of the victims, and then he was booked into the Shoshone County Jail on probable cause for murder. He has since been formally charged with murder and burglary.

The Shoshone County Coroner’s Office took the deceased bodies to determine the cause of death, verify identities, and contact and notify close family members.
The coroner has determined that the cause of death was homicide by gunshot. Two of the victims were adults and two were teens.

  • Aiken Smith (16 years old)
