ALBION, Idaho (KLIX)-Anyone wanting to graze livestock near Albion on one of the most scenic Idaho state parks can apply for an open lease. The Idaho Department of Lands announced there is a ranch unit with irrigated cattle pasture inside the Castle Rocks State Park is up for lease and is taking applications. The minimum bid is $5,775 for the pasture that will be available for just the 2022 season from June 1, to August 31. The person who leases the pasture will need to have specific insurance, more information available from IDPR. The lessee will have to maintain the fencing around the unit. Sealed bids will be taken before March 21, with a cut-off time of 3 p.m. A public opening bid will start at 3 p.m. at the park's visitor center.
