I read this story today, and by "read" I do not mean to imply that I have any idea what it is about...kind of like a book club.  The Hadron Particle Collider in Geneva has yet to swallow us up in a black hole, so now scientists want to use it as a time machine and see how that works out...I just want to know how they are going to fit it in the back of a Delorean? In reality, that is the only reason I read this story is because it talked about scientists and time travel.  These stories are always entertaining to hear grown people trying to convince us that time travel is possible.  Now, within the first few paragraphs of the story I knew that I didn't know what I was reading...but neither did the writer.  Below you can read a few excerpts and decide whether you dare read the whole story.  Good luck, and may the force be with you.

...particle accelerator buried underground near Geneva, to send a hypothetical particle called the Higgs singlet to the past.

Some argue that gravity, for example, is weaker than other fundamental forces because it diffuses into other dimensions. Another possible exception is the proposed Higgs singlet, which responds to gravity but not to any of the other basic forces.
