Rather than have all those amazing pictures sitting unviewed on one person’s phone or camera memory card, the Outdoor Idaho Facebook page actively searches for the best photos taken in Idaho every month. Through their monthly ‘Iconic Idaho’ photo contest they are able to get glorious photo submissions from around the state. They just posted the winners from July and the pictures do not disappoint.

Outdoor Idaho Iconic Idaho Photo Contest

Outdoor Idaho posted 85 pictures from their community submissions on Facebook. Photo content can include anything that might be considered iconic in Idaho. Many pictures feature animals or landscapes and others capture the raw beauty of a night sky or outdoor activities.

What Is The Outdoor Idaho Facebook Group

Outdoor Idaho is the social media presence of the nationally acclaimed TV series on Idaho Public Television. Popular shows include Idaho's 12ers, Living with Wildfire, and Middle Fork Journey. Each show features a different aspect of Idaho from nature to activities and progress to history. The Outdoor Idaho show celebrated a milestone with a special hour-long episode for its 35th anniversary in 2018 so they'll be coming up on 40 years soon.
