Juvenile Driver Killed in Idaho Highway Crash Near Idaho Falls

Idaho State Police have reported 2 deadly accidents near Idaho Falls.

An accident near Idaho Falls on Saturday afternoon took the life of a young driver and sent the juvenile passenger to a local hospital.

Idaho State Police also reported that an elderly man was killed in a crash east of Idaho Falls.

Juvenile Driver Killed in Idaho Highway Crash Near Idaho Falls

On Saturday, April 12th, ISP responded to a crash on northbound I-15 at mile marker 114:

A 2000 Mercury Cougar, occupied by two juveniles, was traveling northbound on I-15 when it drove into the median, rolled, and landed in the southbound lane of travel.
The passenger was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The 2 juveniles were wearing seatbelts when the accident happened, and ISP is investigating the crash.

Fatal Crash in Idaho Near the Wyoming Border

Late Thursday evening, April 10th, around 8 PM, troopers from the Idaho State Police responded to an accident on US-26 along the Palisades Reservoir near mile marker 401.

Alpine EMS assisted ISP at the scene of the accident:

A 63-year-old male from Irwin was traveling eastbound in a white 2009 BMW 535. The BMW went off the left shoulder of the road, where it came to rest.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This accident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
