A juvenile driver in Idaho was killed Wednesday morning in an accident with a cement truck.

The accident happened near Caldwell around 8 AM.

Tragic Accident With Cement Truck Leaves 1 Juvenile Dead in Idaho

The Idaho State Police responded to the 2 vehicle crash around 8:06 on Wednesday morning on US20 at the Midland Boulevard intersection in Canyon County. The ISP report states:

A juvenile, from Middleton, was driving southbound on Midland Boulevard in a 2012 Subaru Tribeca. A 59 year-old male, from Caldwell, was driving westbound on US20 in a 2019 Oshkosh concrete truck. The Subaru failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by the concrete truck. The driver of the Subaru succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the concrete truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The accident blocked the roadway for approximately 2 hours in both directions.

Canyon County is part of District 3 Southwestern Idaho for the Idaho State Police, which also covers Ada, Adams, Boise, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, Valley, and Washington Counties.

More details, including identity of the deceased juvenile and cause and manner of death may be released by the Canyon County Coroner’s Office once the details are determined.

The accident is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
