2 Kids Injured: School Bus Hit by Semi Truck in Idaho
A school bus with 2 juveniles on board was hit and overturned Monday after when a semi-truck failed to stop and struck the bus.
2 Kids Injured and School Bus Rolled After Hit by Semi Truck in Idaho
Idaho State Police are investigating an accident that happened Monday afternoon between a semi-truck and a school bus. The crash happened around 4:52 PM on US95 at mile marker 115 in Cambridge.
The bus driver was a 67-year-old male who had temporarily stopped the bus for unloading. 2 juveniles were on the bus at the time when it was struck from behind by a 2024 Peterbilt semi-truck. The truck was pulling a trailer and was driven by a 56-year-old male.
The bus overturned after the hit and both vehicles ended up blocking the road, which was completely closed off for about 5 hours.
All occupants in the vehicles were injured and transported to local hospitals, according to the police report:
The drivers of the school bus and semi-truck were transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The two juveniles were transported via personal vehicle to a local hospital.
Idaho State Police Hiring For Multiple Positions
The Idaho State Police recently posted on social media that they are hiring for a variety of positions. They are looking to hire a Fingerprint Technician, IT Info Security Engineer, Human Resource Business Partner, IT Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, and Financial Technician.
