Idaho State Police Recruits Getting Pepper Sprayed. Watch the Videos Here.
Each academy training class for the Idaho State Police goes through rigorous training, mentally and physically, to prepare for real-world situations when serving as a trooper.
One of those ‘situations’ is the experience of being pepper-sprayed in the face and then pushing through the pain and discomfort to keep thinking and stay safe. While the recruits getting pepper-sprayed isn’t as entertaining as when they get TASED, it is worth a watch and a moment of being grateful that you aren’t the person in the video.

On the Idaho State Police social media pages, you can see video updates as the new recruits go through training. Two of those recent videos feature the training class getting a ‘spicy’ spray in the face. After they are sprayed, they must then go through additional training practices to teach them how to push through the pain and burn to get the job done.
I don’t know if they are supposed to open their eyes when they get sprayed, since most of them are closed tight, but one of the guys in these videos gets blasted with his eyes open. Ouch.
Here’s a group of recruits from last year going through the pain training.
Based on comments below the videos, being pepper-sprayed is a lot worse than being TASED.
