If you didn't think it was going to happen, you were wrong. Boise State University announced the sale of alcohol last year but was halt quickly as COVID-19 impacted the season. No fans.

The Bronco Nation will be ready for a full season of new coaches, players, and the beginning of alcohol sales. BSU just announced they will be selling alcohol this season.

What are the Rules for Alcohol Consumption at BSU Games

It's similar to any other venues that also coincide with state law. Idahoans must be 21 and older to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. You will see alcohol kiosks around the stadium (which will be odd considering we've never seen that), in the Fan Zone areas including a special tailgate zone.

"Our goal is to provide an elite fan experience on game day. Bronco Nation directly impacts our student-athletes and ultimately, the outcome of games. My hope is that today's announcement continues to generate excitement and helps us fill the stadium."

That comes from Director of Athletics, Jeremiah Dickey on Monday. The Garth Brooks show was almost a test for seeing how Idahoans acted at such a major event on the blue under the influence of alcoholic beverages. That was an obvious success and BSU is going to try this for the entire season along with a Drink Responsibly campaign. It will be very interesting to see exactly how families interact with each other when adding beer and hard seltzer to the atmosphere.

The season begins on September 2 in Florida against UCF. The first home game will take place on September 10 against the UTIP Miners. Tickets are on sale now.
