Temporary Closure: City Of Boise Closes Off Portion Of Greenbelt
Living in Boise means there's always a ton of construction happening. There has been constant chatter and complaining online over the last few years as the Treasure Valley undergoes tons of construction on the freeways, in towns, and on the streets. Driving has become a bit hectic it seems to have settled down a little bit.
Unfortunately if you live in the city of Boise there's a new spot marked off because of construction. Everyone knows that there's no better time to travel on the Boise Greenbelt than in the summer. It's almost how you could tell that summer is in full swing. When people are walking, running, biking everywhere you turn.
Unfortunately one major spot of the Boise Greenbelt is now closed off due to construction. The spot on the Boise Greenbelt that is closed is the area behind Boise State campus between friendship bridge and Broadway Avenue. If you plan on traveling via the Greenbelt during this time then you're going to have to avoid this area.

Sadly it will be closed for the next couple of months with plans of it reopening around September 11th. Until then you will have to use the Friendship Bridge detour in order to keep traveling down the Greenbelt. If you don't want to use the detour you could also always travel through Boise State campus. Considering the campus is beautiful this is still a great option.
