5 People Injured in Rollover Crash Near Twin Falls, ID
There were 2 rollover accidents in Southern Idaho over the weekend with multiple injuries reported. One accident involved a semi-truck on the highway near American Falls and another was an SUV with 5 occupants near Twin Falls.
5 People Injured Including 2 Juveniles in Rollover Crash Near Twin Falls
Idaho State Police reported Saturday morning that they had responded to a vehicle rollover on Friday about 40 minutes before midnight. The accident happened west of Buhl on Highway 30:
A 24-year-old female from Murtaugh, with four passengers, was driving eastbound on US-30 in a 2004 Suzuki XL7, when she failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled before coming to rest in a field. A 28-year-old male from Manteca, California, was transported to a local hospital by air ambulance. A 41-year-old female from Twin Falls, two juveniles, and the driver were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
Only 1 person in the car had a seatbelt on when the accident happened.
Semi Truck Rollover Accident Near American Falls Saturday Morning
Saturday morning around 8, ISP responded to a semi-truck rollover crash on Interstate 86 (near the Register Road overpass) near American Falls in Southern Idaho:
A 33-year-old male from Orlando, Florida, was driving eastbound on I86 in a 2019 Volvo Semi. The semi hit a patch of ice and rolled blocking both lanes of eastbound I86.
The accident blocked some lanes of travel for around 7 hours. The driver of the semi was wearing his seatbelt and the crash is being investigated by Idaho State Police.
