Shots Fired Near CSI Campus in Twin Falls

On the night of August 21, 2024, a dispute escalated into gunfire near the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) campus in Twin Falls. According to the Twin Falls Police Department, officers were dispatched to the tennis courts at approximately 9:46 p.m. following reports of a possible shooting.

Incident Details

Upon arrival, police found several individuals at the scene. A victim who was involved in the altercation spoke with detectives but was not fully cooperative. He confirmed that during the dispute, three rounds were fired into his unoccupied vehicle. Fortunately, no one was struck or injured during the incident.

Investigation Ongoing

Authorities emphasized that there is no current evidence to suggest that any shots were fired in the direction of a person. The investigation remains active, and police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

"If anyone in the community has any information regarding this event, they are encouraged to contact Detective Tracy Thompson at 208-308-7279," the department stated.
