Enjoy These 9 Events in the Magic Valley this Mother’s Day Weekend

Finally, a weekend of fantastic weather is expected to happen in the Magic Valley, and it is long overdue. After all the wind, rain, and ups and downs with the temperatures, it should be a beautiful weekend to get out and have some fun. It couldn't fall at a better time, with this weekend also being Mother's Day. While spending time with Mom is important, there is also time to have some fun without her, or perhaps you want to take her to do something fun. There is a wide variety of fun events happening this weekend across the Magic Valley to give you plenty of options to enjoy your time away from work. 

Thursday, May 9 - Paint and Take Class

Start the weekend early with a painting class on Thursday. On Thursday there will be a paint-and-take class at the Historic Wilson Theatre, beginning at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $45 per person, with all the supplies included. Thursday, May 9 Through Sunday, May 12 - Shoshone Falls After Dark

We are over a week into May now, and that means that one of the best events of the year will be happening throughout the month, and that is Shoshone After Dark. It will be happening every night this weekend, beginning on Thursday, with Sunday being the last night of the weekend to go. It is a unique experience to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls at night, with music and lights. It is something every resident or tourist of Twin Falls this time of year should experience. Tickets are $20 per car or $30 for larger vehicles. Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 - Twin Falls Pollinator Plant Sale

Friday, May 10 - Charcuterie Workshop

Are you someone who would love to host parties and put out a charcuterie board, but not exactly sure the proper way to do so? You are in luck, as there will be a workshop this Friday from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at Rudy's on Main in downtown Twin Falls. Saturday, May 11 - Second Saturday Art Class Spring Flowers

If you are someone who wants to learn how to paint better, or perhaps learn to in general, make sure to stop by the Twin Falls Arts Council this Saturday from 10 AM to noon and take part in the Second Saturday Arts Class, which this week will focus on spring flowers. Saturday, May 11 - Colors in Motion

Head out to the Orpheum Theatre this weekend and check out Colors in Motion. There will be multiple recitals for the dance crews taking place this weekend, as well as a team showcase happening at night. The dance crew Ovation will be in action all Saturday, with recitals at 11 AM, and 2 PM, and the team showcase at 7 PM. Tickets are as low as $10 for the recitals and as low as $12 for the showcase. Saturday, May 11 - Glow Games Grand Re-Opening

After a stressful week of being an adult, how about turning back the clock and being a kid again and having some fun? Glow Games in Twin Falls, located at 1201 Filer Ave E is having its grand re-opening this Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM. There will be prizes and giveaways all day long, and as always, arcade games, mini-golf, and laser tag. For more details, click on the link above. 

Sunday, May 12 - Mother's Day Brunch

Mother's Day is this Sunday, and moms should always be celebrated, especially on this day. One great way is by taking Mom out to brunch and letting her enjoy a meal without cooking or cleaning, and instead being waited on. Redhawk and Canyon Crest Event Center will be having a Mother's Day Brunch this Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM. Sunday, May 12 - Mother's Day at Holesinsky

Perhaps you don't know what to do with your mom on Mother's Day this year. Why not take her out to the winery and have some family fun? Holesinsky Vineyard and Winery will be hosting a Mother's Day event from noon to 7 PM, with live music all day. There will be a big bounce house, a petting zoo, crafts, a balloon artist, and a mechanical bull for the children. Admission is $20 per person, with children being free.
