Photographic Evidence People In Twin Falls Don’t Know How To Handle Fender Benders

I absolutely love living here. That being said, I don't always like the drivers in the area. I paid off my car in 2018 and since that date, my car has been hit at least 4 different times and not one of them handled the situation correctly.

The first time my car was hit, it was in a restaurant parking lot. I am assuming a very large truck with a front rack on it turned a little too sharp and scraped the side of my car down the driver's side door. When I got to my car, there was no information left, no one came into the restaurant to bring it to anyone's attention, and they just left.

The second time I was hit was in the parking lot of my work very early in the morning. People come through the area all the time so it wasn't a co-worker or guest. It was a random person, based on the security cameras. They backed into my car with a trailer. Again, no knock on the door, no information left, nothing. They just left. For this one I actually give a little leniency because there is a chance whoever it did not feel the bump from the trailer.

The third time I was hit, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and say it was a child's bike or something. There is a perfect circle dent in the side of my car. I probably shouldn't even bring this one up, but still, it is a ding.

The last time I was hit was in the Smith's parking lot. Again, someone pulled in or out of the parking space next to me too sharply and scraped and dented the passenger side of my car. No information was left and no attempt to contact me.

So, if you hit a vehicle that someone is not in, you leave your insurance information in the windshield wiper of the car, or someplace they can see it easily. If you are at a restaurant or store, you really should go into the business and look for the driver to exchange information. At least, that is what I have always been taught.

Maybe none of the damage could be considered enough for people to think it needed insurance. Maybe they saw my car and how old it is and the fact that I haven't given it a bath in like 6 months means that I wouldn't even notice? I don't know. I probably should have it fixed but then it will get hit again. It is a rule somewhere that as soon as you pay off your car, it starts to get hit.
