WATCH: Accident on Idaho Interstate Looks Like the End of the World
The winter storms have been dominating the news lately, keeping residents inside unless they have to go out. Many have had to drive in these conditions, which aren't ideal, and it has led to many accidents taking place on Idaho roadways lately. With drifting snow, heavy snowfall, and impaired vision, it is tough to navigate the roads currently. There was one major accident on an Idaho interstate that caused many to be involved and was caught on camera, which happened to look like the end of the world was coming.
Video of Huge Multicar Wreck on Idaho Interstate
In the video above, you can see that a huge multicar wreck took place, and with how many cars are sitting sideways and abandoned, it looks like a scene from a movie about the end of the world. This video was shot on Interstate 84 up near Nampa, Idaho on Thursday, forcing the road to be shut down for a few hours. In total, there were around 20 cars involved, although the video makes it look like much more. The good news is that nobody was reported hurt in the wreck, although some wallets will be hurting when it comes to repairing the damage. Auto repair shops will be making good money after this wreck to help those involved repair their vehicles.
Winter Driving in Idaho
The winter weather causes drivers to slide and lose control of their vehicles. Some will be more cautious when the storms come through, while others will continue to drive their normal way, if not worse in the conditions. On Thursday alone, Idaho Police responded to over 26 crashes at one point, including 7 in the Magic Valley alone. There are likely many more that took place that day, some not reported and some later in the evening. While the video above received all the attention, there was another big multicar wreck on Interstate 84 that involved 15 cars. That wreck occurred near Curtis.

As the winter weather finally arrives, make sure to give yourself extra time to get to your destination if you have to drive. Be aware of other vehicles around you and do your best to drive cautiously, and tap your breaks when stopping, instead of slamming on them. If possible, it is best to stay inside or have someone more experienced drive on the snow, if you are new to Idaho and not familiar with it or are uncomfortable doing so.
