Twin Falls Area Businesses We’ve Said Goodbye to in 2026
I’ve lived in Twin Falls almost my entire life. And I’ve been here long enough to see amazing new restaurants, retail stores, and other businesses open their doors.
Unfortunately, we've lost a few staples along the way.
Some businesses close after decades of service. Others are gone before we even get to know them. And while it’s always fun to see the new shiny thing in town, that doesn’t mean we don’t miss what used to be there.
Twin Falls and Magic Valley Businesses That Closed in 2026
Several businesses around Southern Idaho have closed their doors this year, including a familiar stop inside the Magic Valley Mall and a longtime Twin Falls retailer.
We've also learned that at least one well-known downtown business is preparing to say goodbye, although its final closing date hasn't been announced.
Here's a look at some of the Twin Falls area businesses we've lost in 2026, along with one that's preparing to close.

Pretzel Maker Twin Falls
Closed February 1, 2026
Pretzel Maker in the Magic Valley Mall closed at the beginning of February. The owner decided not to renew the lease due to increased costs. It looks like pretzels are still expected to have a presence in the mall. Auntie Anne's is listed on the Magic Valley Mall website with an opening date TBA.

2. Brady's — Twin Falls
Reported closed in early 2026.
Brady's was a familiar Twin Falls business for decades, selling hot tubs, spas, and other recreational products. Its former location on Shoshone Street was later identified as the future home of The Floor Trader Outlet.

3. Magic Valley Brewing — Buhl
Closure announced January 2026
Magic Valley Brewing operated out of Buhl for almost ten years before announcing its closure in 2026. The Buhl brewery had become a familiar name in the Magic Valley’s craft beer scene.

4. Poindexter's — Twin Falls
Announced closure. Final date not confirmed.
This one hits hard. After more than 27 years in downtown Twin Falls, Poindexter's has announced plans to close. Owner Susan Buhler is preparing for retirement.
The popular costume and novelty shop confirmed on social media that Halloween 2026 will be its final Halloween in operation.
However, Poindexter’s future isn’t entirely written. First, an exact closing date hasn’t been announced. More importantly, the shop has been offered for sale, leaving open the possibility of continued operation under new ownership.
