Over the last couple of years, many successful food chains have closed locations nationwide. Some have gone out of business entirely. It is heartbreaking to keep seeing these beloved chains close and leave towns, especially when it is one of your favorite places. Some people have great memories at these fast food chains, some enjoy certain items, and for some, it might have been their first job. Since the pandemic, many have closed their doors, and many towns have lost beloved places, and more continue to be announced that they will be closing. One food chain that Twin Falls feared would close appears to be saved, and you may not realize it unless you have been paying attention.

Back in July, it was announced that Jack in the Box would be closing nearly 200 locations across the country, with performance being a factor in choosing the locations that would close. Because of the size of Twin Falls, residents had a right to worry about it being among the locations considered, but there are now signs that the store isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Being the only location in town helps, but if the store were underperforming, that wouldn't matter. Without being told, how can customers be sure that the restaurant is safe in the long term?

You can click the link in the paragraph above to learn more about the locations closing nationwide, but also to find out how to tell if a store will be closing soon. Some of the things to watch for are low foot traffic, no cars in the drive-thru, the operating hours have changed, and, most importantly, the building looks outdated and could use an upgrade. The good news is that the location in Twin Falls is currently being remodeled and has gone from red to purple with its base colors. If this store were closing, the franchise would not be investing in an upgrade to the store, changing the colors, and making it more presentable and modern. All of these signs point towards the store being around for years to come and should make customers of Jack in the Box happy moving forward.

If you are a fan of Jack in the Box, rest easy, the location in Twin Falls isn't going anywhere, and with the upgrades, the store should look brand new and add a little extra color to the shopping center and to Blue Lakes. Despite the remodel, they remain open for business, with the drive thru being open, but the lobby being closed.
