
Idaho Man Riding a Motorcycle Hit by Pickup Truck, Critically Injured
Two of the accidents that were reported by the Idaho State Police over the weekend involved motorcycles. One of the accidents involved a Washington man who had been missing since the end of July and the other was a man riding through Jerome County.
The Washington man was found deceased from an accident that happened over a week ago, and the Idaho man was critically injured and taken to a local hospital for care. Full details on each accident below.
Man Hit by Pickup Truck While Riding a Motorcycle in Southern Idaho
The Idaho State Police have begun investigating an accident that happened on Saturday, around 3:40 PM. The motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck at 100 E/Tiger Drive and 200 S in Jerome County.
A 2024 Dodge Ram, driven by a 49-year-old male from Jerome, was traveling north on 100 East when the pickup struck a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by a 57-year-old male also from Jerome.
The biker was headed west on 200 South and was critically injured in the accident. He was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital.
According to Google Maps, traffic on 200 S has the right of way as vehicles on Tiger Drive/100 E have stop and yield signs at the intersection. Idaho State Police are investigating the accident.
Missing Biker from Washington State Found Dead in Apparent Motorcycle Accident
The mystery of a missing man from Seattle, Washington, was partially solved on Friday when the wreckage of a motorcycle accident was discovered near mile marker 161 on US12 near Powell, Idaho. Police believe the missing biker, a 43-year-old man, who had been reported as missing on July 31st, had wrecked his bike into some trees by the highway on July 30th.
