A Twin Falls home owner has offered anyone with the ability to move wood various pieces at no cost.

October in the Magic Valley has started off a tad on the cool side, and many people are beginning the process of stockpiling wood for the colder months ahead. One Valencia Street resident is looking to have some wood hauled away at no cost.

The October 1 post to the Twin Falls / Craigslist free section states the resident is in the process of moving, and is unable to take the wood pile with.

Every year about this time, it seems like a good number of area property owners offer up free wood for the taking, so checking Craigslist frequently in the coming weeks is a good idea. A Hansen resident has also offered free wood to anyone that can move it.

The Hansen post lists the wood at about a half cord in size. For those not familiar to Craigslist but are interested in the free wood, just click the reply link in the upper left corner of the original post to contact the home owner.

The Twin Falls free section currently has a number of other quality items for pickup at no cost, ranging from furniture to collectibles. In July, we scored a circular, wood kitchen table--it was in pristine condition when we picked it up--for only $10. I have no plans on burning it for warmth.

Again, it might not be a bad idea to check this section from time to time if you answered either of these postings too late.

Good luck!
