Man Hit by Truck in Idaho Being Treated for Serious Injuries
A man is in an Idaho hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street.
Vehicle vs Pedestrian Accident in North Idaho Crosswalk
The Idaho State Police are investigating an accident that happened in Sandpoint, ID on April 9th. The crash occurred near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Oak Street around 2:30 PM. The police report states:
A female driver in a white pickup truck was traveling westbound on 5th Ave., and failed to yield to a male pedestrian in the crosswalk. The male pedestrian was crossing east to west when he was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian was then transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries. Speed was a factor in the collision.
The crash is being investigated by ISP and questions can be directed to the District Office.

2 Drivers Injured in Car Crash Near Idaho Falls
Idaho State Police are also investigating an accident that happened near Idaho Falls Monday afternoon at 4:23 PM. The crash occurred at the intersection of E 81st N and N 5th E in Bonneville County.
The ISP blog states:
A 19-year-old-female from Ballantine, Montana was traveling eastbound on 81st N in a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. A 44-year-old-male from Idaho Falls was traveling southbound on 5th E in a 2012 Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Oldsmobile Alero failed to yield to the stop sign and the vehicles collided.
Both drivers were transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. Unknown if either driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash blocked the intersection for around 3 hours Monday afternoon.
