RUPERT, Idaho (KLIX)-Leadership at Minidoka County School District decided to cancel in-person classes Wednesday because of a threat made towards their schools. The school district notified parents on social media that no in-person classes would take place Wednesday after receiving a tip and under advisement from area law enforcement. The district said students in grades 6 through 12 would conduct classes online, including the younger students. This is the second reported threat made towards a school in Southern Idaho in a single day. On Tuesday, Buhl schools were placed on lockdown at around noon after a high school student reported a threatening message towards the schools on the social media app Snapchat. Several law enforcement agencies responded and directed parents to go to Buhl City Park for information about picking up their children. Law enforcement is working to determine who sent out the threat.
