Check it Out! Finally, New and Necessary Addition Coming to Twin Falls
Twin Falls is home to four fire stations within its city limits. All four are small and dated for the needs of Twin Falls’ growing community. However, the city has plans for the construction of a new fire station.
New Fire Station Being Built on South Side of Twin Falls
On Monday, October 17th the official Groundbreaking was held at 3:30 PM on Washington St. S Orchard Drive, near the Southern-most Swensen’s Grocery store. Several city employees attended this groundbreaking ceremony as well as the public. The new location is set to replace the old fire station #3 which is nearby and offers plenty of room for improvements.
Construction is said to be completed by fall of 2023. With the completion of this new fire station, Twin Falls will be home to 2 new fire stations. The second fire station is being built on the corner of Cheney Drive across the street from Tommy’s Express Carwash.

Twin Falls Growing Population Needs New and Improved Fire Station
According to the most recent U.S. Census Bureau as of April 1st of 2020 the population of Twin Falls, ID was 51,807. Twin Falls Fire Department reports serving approximately 52,000 residents, covering 70 square miles in the City of Twin Falls and the Twin Falls Fire Protection District in their City of Twin Falls fire department 2020 annual report. With these figures in mind, it is crazy to think that between all four-fire stations we have such limited fire personnel.
