Live, Shop, and Support Idaho at New Aquatic Store in Magic Valley
With so many stores across the Magic Valley and the country closing this last year or so, it is nice to see when new stores in the area open up. Too many times, big companies will move in and take over towns, but when a local store opens up, it should encourage the residents of the area to want to support it. This last week a new store in Hagerman opened up and it is all about being local.
State Street Aquatics in Hagerman
State Street Aquatics had its soft opening last week, but they are officially open for business. Located in Hagerman, at 231 N. State Street, their business hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM until 4 PM. The business was started by a man named Steve and is run by him, his son-in-law Joey and his daughter Jenifer. Their main business is fish food, but they also offer so much more. Their grand opening will be sometime in April if everything sticks to schedule.
What Does State Street Aquatics Sell?
While the main focus of the store will be fish, there is so much more to offer. They have signs that can be costumed made, hats, cutting boards, wine holders, jam, honey, and much more. They have one room dedicated to things only made in Idaho, and there is a variety of different items. The store currently only has freshwater fish but looks to bring in saltwater fish shortly, as the grand-opening gets closer. They are so dedicated to keeping things local, that their tank stands are even made in the Magic Valley, as well as they are seeking out fish breeders in the area to buy their fish from, to keep them local.
Helping the Business Grow
One of the main sources of business for the State Street Aquatics is the fish food they sell. They mix their food and sell anywhere from 300 to 400 different types of food. They also will help buy fish or tanks that people no longer want or need. If you are having issues with your fish or tanks, they are a great place to check out, as Steve is one of the most knowledgeable people you will ever meet when it comes to fish.
The drive from Twin to Hagerman is absolutely beautiful if you take Highway 30. Jump in your car and take a nice afternoon drive, stop in Hagerman and check out the new State Street Aquatics store and see what local Idaho merchandise you can find. They have a little bit of everything and who knows, you may even come home with a new fish tank and a pet as well. Their store is continuing to expand and just because something isn't in the store doesn't mean they can't order it for you. Check out State Street Aquatics today.
