
Pedestrian Hit and Killed on Highway West of Boise, Idaho
A tragic accident happened on an Idaho highway on Sunday morning.
A pedestrian was walking along the road west of Caldwell, Idaho, when she was struck and killed by a car.
Pedestrian Killed in Idaho Car Accident West of Caldwell
The fatal accident happened Sunday morning at 5:54 on State Highway 19 near Dixie River Road.
In a report from the Idaho State Police regarding the accident, they state:
A 27-year-old female from Homedale was driving a 2012 Ford Focus travelling east on State Highway 19. A 47-year-old female from Nampa was struck by the Ford Focus while walking in the eastbound lanes.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the driver of the Focus was taken to a local hospital.

The accident is being investigated by the ISP.

ISP are also investigating an injury crash that was apparently caused by a lack of headlight use.
In the news release from the Idaho State Police:
A gray 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling southbound on the highway without headlights.
A gold 2014 Nissan Altima sedan, traveling northbound, began to pass a dark blue 2004 GMC New Sierra pickup truck.
The Nissan Altima collided head-on with the gray GMC Sierra pickup truck, causing the truck to roll onto its side and come to rest in the center of the highway.
The dark blue GMC New Sierra pickup truck was also impacted by this crash.
The driver of the Altima was taken to a local hospital.
