Remember the pet squirrel that put a stop to an Idaho robbery? The word is that he's back on the street and now has a girlfriend. Yes, you read that right.

Don't laugh at me. I'm not the one following the mating habits of Idaho wildlife. This report comes from the Salt Lake Tribune. Adam Pearl is the guy who's apartment was saved from a robbery by the squirrel. He turned him loose this past spring. Their hard-hitting investigative reports shared this quote from Adam.

If I had to guess, he found a girlfriend and they're off doing their squirrel thing, said Adam Pearl, who raised Joey in his home for about 10 months.

Off doing the squirrel thing? Don't answer. I don't want to know.

According to the story, Joey (the squirrel) was last seen heading up into an apple tree.

If you're thinking that maybe Joey is fair game now for your next hunting adventure, better check the Idaho Fish and Game website as many ground squirrels are not on the "OK to Hunt" list. It's probably for the better. Who would want to interrupt a squirrel courtship anyway?
