Weekend Accident in Southern Idaho Involving 4 Vehicles Injures Multiple People
The Idaho State Police are investigating a large multi-vehicle accident that happened over the weekend in Southern Idaho.
The crash involved 4 vehicles occupied by a total of 8 people, one of which was a juvenile. 4 people were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
According to the report by the Idaho State Police, the accident happened on Saturday, January 4th at 5:08PM. The crash happened at Beachs Corner (police report calls it Beeches Corner) outside of Iona in Bonneville County.
8 People in 4 Cars Involved in Southern Idaho Weekend Accident
The ISP described the vehicles and drivers along with what they believed happened during the accident in their report:
A blue 2007 Honda Civic, driven by a 22-year-old female from Rigby, was turning south on Ammon Road from westbound US26 when it collided with a silver 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 43-year-old male from Walla Walla, Washington, traveling eastbound on US26.
A blue 2024 Tesla Model Y, driven by a 44-year-old male from Ammon, and a white 2013 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 32-year-old female from Idaho Falls, were both in the northbound lanes on Ammon Road when the Dodge collided with the Tesla, which struck the Tundra.
A juvenile passenger was in the Dodge van and the Tesla had 3 adult passengers. The police report states that all occupants were wearing seatbelts except the driver of the Dodge van.
The driver of the Honda and the 3 Tesla passengers were taken to EIRMC and IFCH with non-critical injuries.

Earlier that morning, ISP responded to a fatality accident in Canyon County after a driver in a pickup truck attempting to pass a semi-truck hit a car head-on coming from the opposite direction.
