Saturday Day is St. Patrick's Day, so find something green to wear and study up on your history...or be like everyone else and just enjoy the party. If you do want to look like a smarty pants on Saturday, here are a few facts that you may not know about St. Patrick's Day.

For some inexplicable reason, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey decided that St. Patrick's Day would be a good time to alienate most of this country by calling us ignorant. They sponsored a survey that asked Americans questions about St. Patrick's Day, then blasted us for not knowing the answers and being too focused on drinking.  An IRISH WHISKEY COMPANY is mad about that.  Wow.

The survey found that 51% of Americans don't know St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. 75% don't know that St. Patrick was actually born in England, not Ireland. 34% didn't know St. Patrick's Day marks his death, not his birthday. And 25% believe that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, which is just a myth.

Tullamore Dew says they ran the survey because, quote, "Americans have long embraced St. Patrick's Day, but this year, we want to ensure they know the true story."
