Every year, just in time for Mother's Day, Salary.com posts its annual study on how much stay-at-home moms WOULD earn, if they actually got paid for everything they do.

--Well, in this economy, even HYPOTHETICAL salaries can't catch a break.

--The 2011 stay-at-home mother salary is $115,432, down $2,424 from 2010.

--That salary is based on the 10 separate jobs that mothers do:  Day care center teacher, CEO, psychologist, cook, housekeeper, laundry machine operator, computer operator, facilities manager, janitor, and van driver.

--A mom should earn a base salary of $36,968 plus $78,464 in overtime.  That's assuming that a mother works approximately 97 hours a week, every week.

--Moms who work outside of the home should get a bonus of $63,472 on top of their day job salary for the extra work they put in after hours.
