The 11 Highest Paid Twin Falls City Employees and Their Huge Paychecks Revealed
In many instances, talking about how much you make is frowned upon.
Some businesses even discourage employees from discussing wages with each other, but not Idaho. Idaho has a transparency website where you can see how much government employees make.
Who Are the City of Twin Falls' Highest Paid Employees and How Much Do They Make
Discussing wages is protected by the National Labor Relations Act, and some companies may not want you to talk about it with your co-workers, though enforcing it as a work policy is illegal.
You may also choose to not talk about your pat, especially if you make more than others, so you don’t feel awkward or make them feel bad. But since we fund their paychecks with our taxes, we can talk about our city and county workers all we want.

So, who do you think is the highest-paid employee with the City of Twin Falls? You might be surprised that the Twin Falls Mayor is listed on the Idaho Transparency Website with an annual pay rate of $18,612.11 - which isn’t even close to the highest-paid person.
Actually, more than $200K away from the highest paid Twin Falls employee. But also a lot more than the lowest-paid employee, a Temp Rec Leader at the time - Hadlee Zuercher who was making $7.25 an hour.

Now, these numbers could be off a little as the last report was run in June of 2024, but it will give you an idea of who’s getting how much money in running the city. Coming in at #1 in the City of Twin Falls is the City Manager, Travis Rothweiler at $225,999.90 yearly.
While we were in the numbers we also checked the pay for employees of Twin Falls County and these are the top earners there. Coming in at #1 in Twin Falls County is Sheriff Thom Carter, making $4,580 bi-weekly - which should come out to about $119K per year. Remember this is from previous years, for TF County it was run on October 31, 2023, and the new Sheriff Jack Johnson could be making a different amount.
Do any of those numbers surprise you? Are some employees making more than you would have expected or less?
