Authorities have reported that a helicopter crashed at the Magic Valley Regional Airport on Thursday afternoon. There was only one occupant in the helicopter at the time and they were treated for minor injuries.

The crash is being investigated.

Helicopter Crash at Twin Falls Airport Injures One Person

The helicopter crash happened on Thursday, May 14th, at 1:48 PM at the west end of the airport tarmac. The pilot, and only occupant of the helicopter, was able to walk away from the accident and refused medical transport, but did go to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. News of the accident was shared on social media and the City of Twin Falls website.

The Airport Rescue and Firefighting unit responded to the crash. The investigation of the cause of the crash will be handled by the National Transportation Safety Board.

The Gunfighter Skies Air Show is happening this weekend in Mountain Home, and the Thunderbirds arrived at the airfield today. Photos of their arrival were shared on social media.

The airshow will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Mountain Home Air Force Base. The show is free, with paid upgrades available, but valid ID for adults is required for admission.
