Longtime Favorite Southern Idaho Restaurant Closed Indefinitely

Many residents in Twin Falls have seen the sign outside a longtime restaurant indicating that the business has closed. There’s no explanation for the closure, but there is hope for some that the restaurant will reopen eventually.

The restaurant is part of a national chain but is run locally in Southern Idaho.

Perkins Restaurant in Twin Falls Closes Unexpectedly and Indefinitely

I don’t know exactly when the restaurant closed, but I drove by on Tuesday night and saw the sign saying they were closed. I went home and looked for information online and called the restaurant, but there was no answer...since they are closed. I went back on Wednesday afternoon to see if there were any signs on the building indicating what had happened or to see if there were crews there working to fix an issue.

There were no crews in the building and no cars in the parking lot, but there was a handwritten sign on each of the doors saying ‘Sorry! Closed Indefinitely’. As you probably know, indefinitely is one of our favorite words. That means they might have plans to reopen, but have no idea when that will be. It’s a word that gives fans of Perkins hope without giving them any information.

There have been a few topics started on social media groups sharing individual opinions about the owners and the business, and why it may have closed. I was unable to find anything from Perkins or the owners, other than the sign on the doors and the Google results saying ‘Temporarily Closed’.

The Perkins restaurant in Twin Falls is located in the parking lot in front of the Holiday Inn by IHG on Blue Lakes.
