With Halloween out of the way, CSI is opening up their doors to less scary types of entertainment!

  1. The next big event coming up on campus will be the 34th annual CSI DECA Harvest Time Festival. This is a big holiday arts and crafts show in the Expo Center with nearly 190 vendors this year. It’ll be all day Friday and Saturday, November 9th and 10th and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, the 11th. CSI Hosteurs will be there all three days with delicious lunch items, too. Just $2 admission.
  2. The next Arts on Tour presentation is ‘Of Mice And Men,’ John Steinbeck’s classic play, performed by the professional theater group from New York, The Acting Company. 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. Tickets for this show are already selling quickly. Get yours soon at the CSI Box Office or by going to www.csi.edu/artsontour
  3. CSI’s Secular Student Alliance will show a documentary and host a discussion starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8th in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. The documentary is called ‘Letting Go of God.’ It’s by Julia Sweeney, a former Saturday Night Live cast member (she was ‘Pat’). The film chronicles her efforts to work through many of Christianity’s discrepancies and wondering why Christians don’t even get along with each other. It’s free and open to everyone.
  4. The CSI Volleyball team is hosting the Region 18 championship games tonight and tomorrow (Fri and Sat) on their home court. The Golden Eagles will play at 7 p.m. tonight. The next game time will depend on the outcome of tonight’s game.
  5. The CSI men’s and women’s basketball teams are starting their seasons this weekend on the road – the men are in Scottsdale, Arizona and the women are in Casper, Wyoming. The men will play at home next weekend in the Hilex Poly (say it: HIGH-LEX POLLY) Tournament on their home court.
