What Is The Big Hit Toy This Christmas?

We have less than a week now until Christmas, so if you are like me and still need a few toys - it is crunch time!!! I do have a few suggestions for you to hopefully make it easier after the jump.

First - Don't take your kids with you shopping. We took ours with us on Saturday and had them hang out in the toy aisle and we would watch to see which toys they seemed interested in. It didn't work out too well - they want5ed every toy, and they wanted it now! Your best bet is to ask them or have them make a list - and then either get a babysitter or go solo.

Second - if you are looking for the big hit toy this Christmas, in the retail industry, the consensus on the "hit toy" of the year is...there isn't one.  There's no Tickle Me Elmo, Nintendo Wii, or Cabbage Patch Kid :)

Third - The good news is that there are a few toys that are doing really well, so there is still hope if you want to give a cool gift. "Angry Birds" toys, Lalaloopsy Silly Hair dolls, and even Legos are selling well, but none of them have crossed the threshold to become an all-out hit.
