Remember When This Famous Twin Falls Business Was At Another Location?
I moved to Twin Falls in the summer of 2007 and I’ve seen a lot of changes happen since then. But, that doesn’t mean I remember all the things that have changed. I wrote a story last week about some street sign changes that had happened a few years ago, that I just noticed in downtown Twin Falls. But in researching that story, I came across old pictures of a famous and popular Twin Falls business that used to be in a completely different location. I remember now that this happened, but had forgotten.
Red’s Trading Post Original Location
The business I’m talking about is Red’s Trading Post. They changed locations not long after I moved here, and I remember it being a big deal. The gun store used to be on Shoshone Street across from the Toyota dealership, now they are closer to the Depot Grill on the corner of Hansen and 5th.
The old location had the classic downtown Twin Falls brick walls.
Do you remember when Red’s was on Shoshone? Also, was it ever in a location before that? The online bio for Red’s calls it Idaho’s oldest gun shop, since 1936.
Another interesting change that I found on this trip down memory lane on Google Street was just around the corner from the old Red’s, on 2nd Ave. Do you remember the wedding shop called ‘Wedding Dreams and Things’ next to Apricot Home (or as it used to be called - Apricot Lane) and Riverat?
