Is This Wicked Christmas Light Display the Best in Utah?

Christmas lights have come a long way since Clark Griswold decorated his house with 25,000 imported Italian twinkle lights in the Christmas Vacation movie.

Now, you have people decorating their houses with lights, inflatable lawn decor, laser lights - and they do it synced to music for an epic neighborhood show. Many houses do light shows, but a family in Utah has the most ‘Wicked’ show of them all…in a cool way.

Utah Family Wins Christmas with a ‘Wicked’ Light Display in 2024

I live in Idaho and when I saw a video pop up on Facebook from ‘A Very Merry Meridian’ I assumed it was a Christmas light show from Meridian, Idaho. Nope. The amazing light show is presented by a family in Saratoga Springs, Utah at 632 N Meridian Drive.

What makes the light show so ‘Wicked’ - and not in a 90s slang kind of a way - is the song choice for one of their shows. They did an epic light show set to a medley of songs from the Wicked musical, and a recent theatrical movie. The production is amazing too because it incorporates ground-level and aerial views of the house. Check out the Wicked presentation followed by my favorite, the Epic Carol of the Bells Christmas Light Show they posted last year.

Now, I know there are great Christmas lights shows and presentations all around the state, but is there another in Utah or in Idaho that compares to A Very Merry Meridian?
