You may have heard that Wal-Mart is going to start selling cars. While that may sound a little crazy it's also a little untrue.

There are no announced plans for this feature to come to the Magic Valley...or anywhere near us.

Last week we heard that Wal-Mart would be selling cars and that part is true. Wal-Mart has teamed up with the online auto retailer CarSaver. According to Auto News, Wal-Mart will have kiosks in their stores where you can browse cars through the CarSaver platform. They'll also have auto advisers on site to help answer questions.

Here's where the story becomes a little untrue. There are no announced plans for this feature to come to the Magic Valley...or anywhere near us, explains Wal-Mart spokeswoman Molly Blakeman:

...could not confirm that CarSaver will launch in other markets, but CarSaver and AutoNation last week confirmed the program will launch in Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Oklahoma City.

Wal-Mart auto sales will begin on April 1st (which makes me skeptical that this is a long drawn-out AFD prank) in only 4 cities: Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, and Oklahoma City.
