There are so many movie remakes coming up...actually too many to keep track of! It was just announced that a Point Break remake is in the works. But the remake I am paying attention to is Footloose. So far, I think it looks horrible. While I may be wrong, the new version of the theme song isn't helping my opinion.

BLAKE SHELTON says he's been getting "polarizing" feedback on his remake of the song "Footloose".  People are either LOVING IT . . . or HATING IT.

--But the haters can go away now because Blake just got the ultimate approval.  It's from KENNY LOGGINS, the dude whose voice you immediately hear in your head if someone even mentions the word "Footloose".

--Here's what Kenny Tweeted, quote, "I always thought of 'Footloose' as a country song.  Blake makes it even more so.  His production updates the sound, especially the drums."

--He followed that up with this Tweet, quote, "If anything . . . it's maybe a bit too perfect.  But no matter . . . It's still a fun tune and could go all the way.  I wish them much luck."

(--Of course he wishes them luck.  Since Kenny co-wrote the song, he gets a piece of every copy sold.  We're talking major bank.)

(--The "Footloose" soundtrack drops September 27th.  You can listen to a sample of Blake's version, here.  It's pretty good.  If you like songs that are polished and heavily produced.)
